Hailsham Historical and Natural History Society

The Hailsham Historical and Natural History Society, founded in 1961, has an active programme of meetings and events throughout the year.

Hailsham Heritage Centre

Coronavirus (16th March 2020)

In view of the advice issued by the Government about limiting gatherings and visiting crowded places, especially for the elderly and those people with serious health conditions, the Hailsham Historical & Natural History Society has taken the decision to cancel its next three meetings, ie April 1st, May 6th and June 3rd 2020.

We will be reviewing the situation on a regular basis and will advise members and potential visitors of our plans for the July 1st meeting and beyond. We will be contacting our speakers to try and rearrange their talks for a future date if possible.

No formal decision has yet been made about the Heritage Centre Museum opening on the 1st May for 2020, but we believe it is unlikely to re-open on that date. An update will be posted nearer the time.

All meetings are open to the public and take place monthly on Wednesday evenings at 7.30pm in the Charles Hunt Centre, Vicarage Field, Hailsham, BN27 1BG.
