VE Day memories
On the 75th anniversary of VE Day, Richard Goldsmith of Hailsham Historical Society chatted with Simon Herbert of Hailsham FM about wartime Hailsham, with memories of the day from local people who were there, as well as press reports from the time.
If this interview has stirred any memories about VE Day in Hailsham, Hellingly or the local area we would love to hear from you. If you have any photographs of the day, we would love to see them and take copies for the museum. You can get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone Richard on 01323 843102.
